The director of the center participated in the first Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum

On November 2, 2019, the first Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum, jointly organized by the Institute of International Studies of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and the think tank Construction Foundation of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, was held at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. The Forum invited domestic scholars and representatives from Japan, Thailand, the Philippines and other countries to conduct in-depth discussions on the current situation and prospects of Asia-Pacific regional economic integration and major cooperation mechanisms (APEC, RCEP, CPTPP, 10+1, etc.), Asia-Pacific financial cooperation (Chiang Mai Initiative multilateralization, etc.), third-party market cooperation, and the relationship between international multilateral mechanisms and Asia-Pacific regional economic cooperation. Liu Chenyang, director of the APEC Research Center, was invited to attend the meeting and delivered a keynote report.
