On September 12-13, 2018, the 2018 Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Society of China was held in Beijing. According to the constitution of the society, the president, vice president, secretary-general and deputy secretary-general of the society were re-elected at this meeting. Li Xiangyang, dean of the Institute of Global and Asia-Pacific Strategy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, was elected as the eighth president of the China Asia-Pacific Society, and Professor Liu Chenyang, the director of the center, was elected as one of the vice presidents.
The Asia-Pacific Society of our country is a multidisciplinary academic group composed of researchers, teaching staff and practical workers engaged in political, economic, social and cultural research in the Asia-Pacific region. The governing unit of the society is the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the secretariat of the society is located at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ Institute of Global and Asia-Pacific Strategy.
